Default Petition: Please remove 15k elite + Kurzick/luxon armors from PVP

Ok, I felt like making this petition after finding out that PVP players can also unlock obsidian armor. For me this makes no sense. Elite armors are a reward in PVE for completing the story line and getting far in the game, and luxon/kurzick armors are supposdly a reward for choosing either side in factions. I find it very unfair that PVE players have to invest a lot of time playing and raising gold, and also more money on dyes to be able to obtain their armor, wheras PVP's can now simply unlock any set and dye them repeatedly at will.

I also play PVP and enjoy HA, however I still dont see a valid reason for being able to attain these high end armors without playing PVE.

Anyway, /Signed for removing thse armors as PVP unlocks.

they still have to work for it, and adding a little diversity amongst the look of pvp characters is a GOOD thing.

expensive armor as a status symbol is such ancient history.

sorry I'm slow on the updates...how easy/hard is it to get these armors unlocked? If its easy or buyable in the store then I agree, but if it requires time and effort then I think it's fine. I looked and its not in the store or on the balthz guy, so I'd assume you unlock them from the tournament or perhaps even HA drops?

you need reward points to unlock them, and quite a few at that, i cant even imagine the amount of points needed for obsidian armor. point is, we have to work to unlock the armor by doing well in pvp, just like pvers have to work to unlock the armor by doing well in pve. i have a pve monk with obsidian, and im not bothered by the pvp unlocks at all. i make a pvp char for anything thats not monk, and id love to unlock some of the unique weapon skins for them. If i see a pvp char wearing obsidian, ill be impressed, it means that person has spent a LOT of reward points getting that armor. in closing...
/notsigned.

edit: as for the specific sets you mentioned in the petition, im not sure how i see this 'alliegance' argument of yours . i have 15k luxon, and i always play the kurz side, except for when i ABd luxon for jadeite for that armor. Guilds chose a side most of the time now anyhow. my GvG guild is allied to the kurzicks, so why shouldnt the pvp monk i make to play ABs be able to show her alliegance with armor?

- Alright, how about you go play ATS tournaments to get elite armors, I'll go farm PvE to get mine. Let's see who gets the armors first. Until then I consider this thread another jealous PvE player complaining how he's not exclusively allowed to keep all the candies by himself.

Have you seen how many ATS reward points you have to get in order to unlock those high end armors? If pvper want those armors, they have to work as hard as pver counterpart. Not a bad thing really.

In order to buy obisidian armor you first need to unlock the basic armor tier. Which costs 50 x 20 Reward Points(RP). After that you can buy the obsidian armor for 200 RP a piece. So in total you need to get 2000 RP to be able to buy a full obsidian armor.

In GvG tourney you get 3 RP per win. In HvH tourney you get 1 RP per win. If you end up in the top 25% you get additional points which range from 60 RP for the number one till 15-20 RP for the other top 25%.

Let's say you do fairly good in HvH tourney and you'll end up top 12 of the 64 players all the time, which will give you 20 RP. You still need to play 200 tourneys to get this armor.

A lot of people that are not so good in PvP will only get a couple of RP per tourney.

Besides that, I rather farm real players in PvP than doing boring PvE and farming the same AI over and over again.

You have to unlock all the low end amour before you can unlock the mid range amour. After that, you need to unlock all the mid range amour before you can unlock the high end amour.

Any idea how much ATS points you need to get the highest end amour? Average players may never be able to get these pvp-amour as it is too hard for them to earn ATS points. It is just a reward other than gold/silver/bronze cape to those good pvp-ers.

See my post above.

In PvP armor there is only 2 tiers: basic armor and fancy armor. If you unlocked basic armor (buying 50 pieces), you can buy fancy armor.

So as I explained above: 2000 reward points.

/not signed,

the divide in the game is too much now between PvP and PvE, let the hard core PvPers have their armour and make ghostly hero minipets and Crystaline swords drop in PvE (if they dont already)

even in their current crappy useless form, pvp rewards were a long awaited feature and can't simply get removed.

Better start a petition for making these armors real *unlocks* because now the tournament reward points are as useful as balthazar faction after uax, lol.

You forgot runic blades and stygian axes. I have no problem with PvP players getting armour as they have to work for it, but i do think the pvp only weapons should be added as drops (rare not just purples) in PvE.
It's mostly PvE'ers who use those weapons anyway.

So how about making Crystalines, Mini Ghostly's and Rank Emotes available through PVE then? I take a quote that sums this issue up entirely for me from another forum:

PvPers should have to PvE if they want PvE rewards, just like PvErs should have to PvP if they want PvP rewards.

So since the armors and weapon skins have been added to PVP and that isnt a problem, it isnt a problem for emotes and mini ghostlys to be made aquirable in PVE correct?

How can so many people say its fine for PVP to PVE's armor, when PVE cannot obtain the rewards PVP'ers get?

Ok, so theres no such thing as PVP emotes and PVE emotes anymore either, therefore emotes should be added to PVE by your own logic.

Elite armor and rare skins were things that were only aquirable via PVE. If a PVP player wants them, they should have to PVE to get them, just as a PVE player that wants a bambi has to play PVP.

Signed, if PvErs need to put in PvE effort to get emotes then PvPers need to put in effort to get PvE rewards.

To get Obisidian Armor in PvE:
-Farm your ass off
-Farm some more
-Play the market
-Keep farming
-Purchase all crazy-expensive mats
-Getting the mats takes long enough for a second bullet
-Make your way to the armor crafter in FoW

To get Obsidian Armor in PvP
-Run a gimmick, fotm build

Additional 1.5k (or is it 1k now?) armor is fine for a pvp reward, as well as most weapon skins. 15k armor and Obsidian specifically should NEVER be allowed for use on a pvp'er.

Keep it. But keep it destructible.
That pretty much makes the PvP character the same as PvE character anyway (stuck in one primary), so that evens out.

*shrug* i still think its stupid though.

PvP content in PvE please. Wheres my Balthazar faction and fame from killing PvE monsters?
